Poland bans hot tea at work

Wydarzenia: Polish authorities have switched to energy saving mode. Officials were banned from charging their phones at work and restricted the use of kettles, air conditioners and lights. The new rules will come into effect on December 1st.

Local governments must reduce electricity consumption by at least 10% compared to 2019. Control will be exercised by the Energy Regulatory Authority. The fine for non-compliance with the requirement is up to PLN 20,000.
