In addition to Europe, there have been protests across Australia, Canada, Japan and America.
Some of the more heated rallies boiled over into riots, notably in the city of Rotterdam, where protestors clashed with police.
Protestors across Europe are increasingly of the view that governments are trampling on their liberties by implementing unprecedented measures.
The most stringent of which are coming in Austria where a full lockdown is expected to begin on Monday.
Nationwide lockdowns are expected for a minimum of ten days, which could then be extended to a fortnight.
