Twitter launches Bitcoin tipping service on iOS

Users of the Twitter app on iOS devices are now able to accept bitcoin donations through the Lightning Network. To do this, you need to connect a third-party service like CashApp to your profile.

According to CoinDesk, the feature is coming to Android apps soon. According to company representatives, the cryptocurrency tip service will be entirely based on third-party solutions such as Strike. Twitter does not participate in the movement of funds and does not receive payment proceeds.
Information that Twitter is testing bitcoin donations appeared in early September. Even then, it was reported about the need to use third-party applications to connect a new service.
