Twitter shows the NFT verification system

Twitter Consumer Product Marketing Head Justin Taylor posted a video demonstrating an interface for working with non-fungible tokens (NFT). The social platform will allow members to use NFTs as profile pictures.

The video was recorded by senior Twitter developer Mada Aflak. To install NFT instead of a profile photo, the user needs to connect a digital wallet and select a token. The blockchain in which the asset is issued will be displayed next to the profile picture.

Users will also be able to show other people their NFT collections. Twitter will add the corresponding Collectible tab to the activity menu.

The demonstrated features are under development, so the menu and the functions may change. The release date remains unknown.

On September 23, users of the Twitter app on iOS devices were able to accept donations through the Lightning Network. To do this, you need to connect a third-party service like CashApp to your profile.
